## Contracts and sales practices

- Door-to-door badge: Partial.
- Sales notes: Door-to-door with summer college-student reps was Natura’s main channel for roughly its first seven years (founded 2013) and stopped at COVID; the company then shifted to digital marketing (PCT, Apr 2024). A June 2018 Angi review describes a Natura salesman at the door. No current (2025-2026) D2D job posts, solicitor permits or recent reviews describing reps at the door were found. The owners still host many Bug Bux Podcast episodes about D2D selling (2024-2025), but none of those pages says Natura currently knocks doors.
- In a March 2025 BBB response, the company said the complainant had signed up for 12 months of service and could cancel immediately for a $150 fee, equal to the discount taken off the initial service. (counted in the score)
- The same complainant’s quarterly services were billed monthly under the company’s single-page signed agreement (company’s BBB response, March 2025).

- Yelp (natura-pest-control-vancouver-3, linked from the company site) returned HTTP 403 to both the headless browser and text fetch, so rating and reviews are unverified. Expertise.com shows a secondhand ‘Yelp 3.4 (74)’, which was not confirmed on Yelp.
- Google Maps served only a ‘limited view’ (5 ‘most relevant’ reviews, all 5-star). Sorting by lowest or newest was blocked, so negative Google reviews could not be read. Portland listing showed no review text.

- Employee reviews: Glassdoor has a single ‘Natura Pest Control’ employer (EI 5469362; 2.7, 8 reviews) whose only job is in Meridian, Idaho; its overview page returned 403. Indeed’s only ‘Natura Pest Control’ page (3.8, 19 reviews) has reviews only from Reno/Sparks, Nevada. Both appear to be the Reno naturapc.com company. No employer page for the Vancouver company was found on either site, so no employee reviews are on file.

This Vancouver company credits Jake and Jana Claus as founders in 2013 and lists only the Claus family and Eric Bassett as owners. Any early ownership link to Young or the Reno group is unverified. The two now operate separate websites, licences and listings. Reno’s Indeed reviews mention D2D sales reps; those are not attributed here.
