By [Uri Mittelman](https://handshakereviews.com/authors/uri-mittelman.md), Editor · Research and verification: Handshake Research Desk · Updated October 13, 2026

**Answer:** As of October 13, 2026, Pointe Pest Control’s own terms or statements set a 12-month minimum term. Customers report being charged the full remaining contract balance. Service continues after the initial term until you cancel. Customers report being required to cancel by phone. Three customer accounts describe terms misstated at the sale.

## What the record says about cancelling Pointe Pest Control

Company terms and statements first, then customers’ reports. Each links to its source; quotes are the source’s exact words.

- Ongoing service auto-continues after the first year until the customer cancels. (sources [10](https://pointepest.com/pointe-pest-control-faqs/)) Quote: “After your first year is complete we will continue to perform regular maintenance services until you notify us of any changes.”
- Company-stated early termination fee of $95 on the 12-month plan (company reply on Angi, Moses Lake branch listing, June/July 2017, before the 2023 PestCo acquisition). The reply says customers choose between a single treatment and a 12-month plan, and the fee clause is printed above the signature line and repeated in the contract’s Terms and Conditions. (sources [19](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wa/moses-lake/pointe-pest-control-%7C-moses-lake-reviews-9183459.htm)) Quote: “Upon choosing the 12-month plan, the customer signs the contract on a line directly beneath the statement, "I agree to pay an early termination fee equal to $95."”
- The website Terms of Use (PestCo, effective 7/20/2023) require binding AAA arbitration and an individual-only (no class) basis for disputes ‘relating to the application, interpretation, implementation or validity of these Terms’, with Delaware law and St. Louis venue. These terms govern use of the website; no source shows whether the residential service agreement has an arbitration clause. (sources [20](https://pointepest.com/terms-of-use/)) Quote: “ALL CLAIMS AND DISPUTES WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THESE TERMS MUST BE ARBITRATED OR LITIGATED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT ON A CLASS BASIS.”
- No public price list; quote only after inspection. Third-party reviewer notes contract/cancellation-fee terms are not published. (sources [17](https://bestcompany.com/pest-control/pointe-pest-control)) Quote: “There is also an absence of information regarding contracts, liability insurance, cancellation fees, and related details.”
- Two BBB complainants (Sept 2024, June 2026) say written or online cancellation was not accepted and they were told to phone; one says she was then referred to a salesperson. (sources [18](https://www.bbb.org/us/id/post-falls/profile/rodent-control/pointe-pest-control-1296-64190906/complaints)) Quote: “Therefore, I sent them an email telling them to cancel my service, but they replied that I needed to call them and tell them verbally.”
- Two independent first-hand reports of a $95 cancellation fee on PNW branch listings: a customer of the Spokane branch (Angi Pasco listing, April 2013) says he was told by phone that the only way to cancel ‘per the signed agreement’ was to pay $95; a Moses Lake-listing customer (June 2017) says that, after being told at sign-up they could cancel any time, they were told of the $95 fee when they asked to cancel (the reviewer adds that the fee is in the contract). Both reports predate the 2023 PestCo acquisition. (sources [14](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wa/pasco/pointe-pest-control-%7C-pasco-reviews-8024142.htm?page=2), [19](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wa/moses-lake/pointe-pest-control-%7C-moses-lake-reviews-9183459.htm)) Quote: “only way that I can cancel my services per the signed agreement with Point Pest Control, was to send them an”
- Current post-acquisition (PestCo-era, 2023–present) PNW customer reports on BBB (Ariel G., Aug 2026) and Salem Google/Yelp state that cancelling during the initial 12-month agreement triggers a demand for the full remaining contract balance (100% of remaining balance), superseding the pre-acquisition 2013/2017 $95 fee reported on older Angi listings.
