The acquirer’s press release confirms door-to-door marketing. PNW door-to-door activity is backed by Seattle-area D2D sales-rep reviews on Indeed (2023-2024) and recent customer reviews on all five PNW Google listings describing reps at the door, often after 8pm or past no-soliciting signs. The current job boards (iCIMS, 3 openings, all in Colorado; isolvedhire, 0 openings) show no PNW or D2D postings as of October 11, 2026. No Washington, Oregon or Idaho city solicitor-permit records were found (not searched city by city).

  Saela is not a party. In EcoShield Pest Solutions Portland, LLC v. Grit Marketing, LLC (D. Or. 3:24-cv-00887), EcoShield’s complaint alleges that a GRIT sales representative in the Portland market boasted, “We already kicked out Insight [Pest Solutions], Brooks [Pest Control], Saela [Pest Control]”. The court’s 3/18/2025 opinion separately notes that defendants asked it to take judicial notice of the websites of “four pest-control companies operating in Portland”, including Saela; the court declined. These are a party’s allegation and request, not findings, and no wrongdoing by Saela is alleged.⁴⁴

• Gap-fill October 12, 2026 ran 6 web searches (Washington, Oregon and Idaho AG, settlement and lawsuit; FTC, consent order and assurance of voluntary compliance; Reddit for Seattle/Tacoma, Portland/Boise/Nampa and door-to-door/reviews; PNW news). Still not searched: YouTube/podcasts, “best pest control in X” listicles, WSDA/ODA/ISDA enforcement news, and Angi/Thumbtack/Porch/Birdeye/Nextdoor profiles.
• Reddit comment threads: not fetched yet. The October 12, 2026 API search returned each post’s title and first 900 characters only; replies, which can hold further first-hand reports, were not read.
• Yelp search returned 403; Trustpilot has no page for saelapest.com (“could not be found”); Comparably showed a bot challenge; Glassdoor review pages showed a Cloudflare “Humans only” block (only the search-card rating and count were captured).

• HomeAdvisor: the Seattle South and Portland North profiles show the same 2024-2026 native reviews (including reviewers naming Plano, Texas and North Orem, Utah), so those two ratings and counts may not be branch-only. HomeAdvisor search cards showed different figures from the profile pages (Seattle South 4.4/2,018, Seattle North 4.4/770, Idaho 4.6/305); the profile-page figures are recorded. Verifying these ratings matters: they cover about 850 reviews and could move the customer-satisfaction factor in either direction.
• Round 2 (October 13, 2026), BBB: no Pacific Northwest Saela or Edge Pest Control BBB profile exists (directory searches near Kent, Lakewood, Beaverton and Nampa). A new Saela headquarters profile (Atlanta, file opened 10/12/2026) shows 0 complaints but has no 3-year history; the Kansas City/Merriam profiles still show Rollins-wide totals. So the complaint record still can’t be tied to a Saela customer base. A national Saela Google review total was not found from an independent source (the company’s site advertises a review total, which can’t be used).
• Round 2 (October 13, 2026), contract terms: no published service agreement was found. saelapest.com/terms-and-conditions/ is a communications (calls/SMS/email) consent page and, like the privacy policy, has no arbitration or class-action clause; /terms-of-service/, /terms-of-use/, /service-agreement/ and /legal/ return the site’s 404 page. Whether the customer agreement has an arbitration clause remains unknown.
• Round 2 (October 13, 2026): Angi, Thumbtack and Nextdoor searches found Saela profiles only outside the Pacific Northwest (e.g. Thumbtack Dallas and Nashville, Angi/HomeAdvisor Colorado, Kansas and Tennessee); none were recorded. No WSDA, ODA or ISDA pesticide enforcement action naming Saela or Edge Pest Control was found by web search, and the Good Jobs First Violation Tracker has no entries for either name (gapFill2.recordsChecked). State agencies’ own enforcement files were not searched directly.

Open questions

• Google review text could only be checked against the research-session captures: live re-fetches now get Google’s ‘limited view’ (no sorting, 3-5 reviews). Ratings, counts, addresses and phones were re-confirmed live or from same-day place-page captures. Re-check the excerpts when the full view is available.
• BBB has no Saela-only figures. The Saela KC/Merriam profiles show Rollins-wide numbers (1,055 complaints/3 yr, 1.21 from 414 reviews).
• The Glassdoor rating and count (3.9, 286) come from a search card and could not be re-checked (Cloudflare block).
• Washington SOS (CCFS) status and any Idaho ISDA pesticide license for the Nampa branch are still unconfirmed.
• saelapest.com returns HTTP 403 to the headless browser but still renders the page; company claims were confirmed from that rendered text.
• Round 2: Yelp star ratings for the six PNW listings (customerReviews[12]-[17]) remain unknown; Yelp returns 403 to automated loads. A manual check is needed before Yelp can be scored.
• Round 2: HomeAdvisor Lynnwood and Lakewood share 117 reviews (2016-2019), and the Lakewood profile’s pre-2016 reviews include a few non-PNW cues (one names “Edge Pest Control Austin”). Branch attribution of the oldest HomeAdvisor reviews is uncertain.
