The only open position on the company careers page (October 11, 2026) is a service technician role; no summer/D2D sales recruiting, solicitor permits, or reviews describing reps at the door were found. A 2017 Indeed review is from a former ‘Sales Inspector’ but does not describe canvassing. Leads appear to come by phone/web quote form. Not enough to say ‘no’ with confidence; general web search for D2D evidence was not possible (quota exhausted).

• Company’s published service-agreement Terms and Conditions (My Service page, ‘Last Updated 6/23/23’): recurring (maintenance) service continues until either party cancels with 30 days’ written notice by USPS or email; the client pays in full for any service not rescheduled with 24 hours’ notice. No minimum term and no early-cancellation fee appear in the published payment and cancellation terms.¹³

  The terms sit in collapsed <details> panels; the cached copy was read with the panels opened. The page index still says ‘[Currently being updated May/June 2023]’. Signed customer agreements were not seen. The same section also says to ‘See specific Cascade agreement’s definitions and limitations of warranty’ and that service-specific terms (e.g. original pricing, target pests) are set per agreement. Verifier re-check October 13, 2026: all quoted terms confirmed verbatim in the raw HTML of a fresh capture.

• Published terms: on rodent bait-station accounts, a $75 bait-station retrieval fee applies on cancellation unless the stations can be collected at the final service.¹³

• The My Service page’s cancellation section tells customers to call the office to cancel and offers suspending service for up to 6 months instead. The formal terms on the same page require 30 days’ written notice (USPS or email), so the two instructions differ.¹³

• Washington Secretary of State CCFS business registry is behind a Cloudflare Turnstile bot check and was not read directly. Update (October 13, 2026): the OpenCorporates mirror of Washington SOS data shows The Treftz Corporation (UBI 600390731) as an Active Washington profit corporation with annual reports listed 15 Jan 2023, 13 Jan 2024, 16 Dec 2024 and 1 Jan 2026. Incorporation date and officers need a login there.
• Website footer cites ‘Pest Control License #88604’, which WSDA shows is owner Kurt Treftz’s individual license with Commercial Applicator status ‘Invalid’ (his Commercial Operator license is Renewed). The footer number is an individual license, not the company’s license record; the company’s WSDA record (Treftz Corporation) is Renewed through 12/31/2026 under designated Commercial Applicator Kevin Peterson (#8577).
• WSDA company record lists Kurt B Treftz (88604) among company-employed Commercial Operators, but his individual record says ‘This person is not employed by any company’. Inconsistency is in WSDA’s own data.
• No Idaho company-level pesticide license lookup exists online; only individual ISDA applicator licenses (Thien #99529, Peterson #99530) were found. Ashley Risting and Kurt Treftz had no active ISDA licenses.

HomeAdvisor category pages again did not list Cascade, so the 4.68/264 HomeAdvisor-Angi snippet remains unconfirmed.
• Membership and certification claims (October 13, 2026): the WSPMA member search requires a login. ESA credential holders are listed only on Credly, which wasn’t searched. The EnviroStars green-business directory (https://www.greenbiztracker.org/business/search?business_name=Cascade%20Pest&do=1&from_lp=envirostars&state_id=1) returned no results for ‘Cascade Pest’. The company’s EnviroStars claim is a 1990s ‘founding member’ credential, so this doesn’t contradict it. The NPMA pledge is now confirmed by independent trade press but not on NPMA’s own site.
• Regulatory databases (October 13, 2026): the OSHA establishment search is behind a bot check. A query of EPA’s ECHO case API by name couldn’t be narrowed (the API ignored the name filter), so no OSHA or EPA result is recorded. Open questions

• Washington Secretary of State (CCFS) record still unread (bot check); Washington legal name/status rests on the Idaho SOS foreign-corporation record and WSDA’s applicant-supplied UBI 600390731. Update (October 13, 2026): the OpenCorporates mirror shows The Treftz Corporation Active; a third-party mirror, so a direct CCFS read would still be stronger.
• Regulatory coverage is limited to BBB and CourtListener (all four federal searches re-run live, count 0). Washington and Idaho AG actions, WSDA enforcement and state-court cases were not searched (no web search available).
• WSDA data is internally inconsistent: the company record lists Kurt B Treftz (88604) and Kevin R Peterson (8577, CO expired 12/31/2025) as company-employed Commercial Operators, while Treftz’s individual record says he is not employed by any company.
