Door-to-door sales: Yes

Confirmed. TriGuard posted a seasonal 1099 door-to-door summer sales job for Seattle on Indeed. In a BBB complaint response, the company said ‘many of our summer door to door sales [reps] are through a 3rd party agency.’ Of the 102 BBB complaint narratives we read (2023–2026), 50 mention ‘door’ and 25 mention a tablet or iPad signature. The company’s terms also include a 3-business-day cancellation (rescission) clause. Customers also describe signing up in person with route technicians. No city solicitor-permit records were found.

Contract terms and pricing

• A discounted initial service is tied to at least one year of service. Cancelling early triggers an early termination fee of up to 75% of the remaining contract value ($75 minimum).¹⁴

  In a BBB complaint filed 08/07/2026, the consumer argues (in a 09/15/2026 rebuttal) that a door-to-door sale signed on the salesperson’s tablet did not meet Idaho home-solicitation law or the FTC Cooling-Off Rule. They say they got no copy of the agreement or Notice of Cancellation at signing; it was emailed about an hour later. TriGuard says it was emailed right after signing, the 18-month term is printed next to the signature block, and the $854.95 early cancellation fee is valid. This is a consumer allegation. No regulator finding was found.⁹

Open questions

• Washington legal entity and UBI 604110154 are unconfirmed: the Washington SOS (CCFS) is bot-blocked, and WSDA says the UBI is applicant-supplied.
• Idaho company-level pesticide licensing is not verified. The ISDA lookup only searches individual applicators.
• The 2017 start: BBB shows ‘Business Incorporated: 4/15/2017’, but the Idaho LLC (3833815) was filed 04/03/2020. The inactive Oregon foreign LLC ‘TRIGUARD PEST CONTROL, LLC’ (1639089-90) may be the earlier entity, but its detail page was not opened.
• WSDA lists the Vancouver branch at ‘12308 Ne 256th St Bldg P Unit 1611’, but the website and Google show 12308 NE 56th St #1611. This is likely a WSDA typo, but it is unconfirmed.
• The Everett branch (2615 W Casino Rd) appears only in WSDA records, not on the company’s location list.
• Lawsuits, AG/FTC actions and pesticide enforcement were not searched exhaustively (no search engine available). The absence of legal items is not proof that none exist.
• Ownership type is unknown: Oregon SOS lists one member (Doug Wrigley), but no source states the ownership structure.
