Door-to-door sales: Partial

Historical evidence only, so rated ‘partial’. Two 2012 first-hand reviews on the Pasco, Washington Angi listing describe a Pointe representative approaching homeowners unsolicited (‘working through a neighborhood’; ‘Their salesman was in the area and stopped by’; the sales evidence.evidence[6], [7]). The founder said (2016) he knocked doors every year from 1997 through 2014; the article does not say whether this was for Pointe. Current model per company: free in-person inspection by a licensed inspector, then a quote. Indeed’s combined ‘Pointe Pest Control’ page lists a ‘Door to Door Sales Representative’ job title and has one D2D-rep review from Pennsylvania, but that page mixes Pointe Illinois/PestCo reviews, so it is not evidence of PNW D2D. No evidence of door-to-door selling after 2012 was found: no PNW D2D job posts, solicitor permits, or later reviews describing reps at the door (solicitor permits not checked).

The reply says customers choose between a single treatment and a 12-month plan, and the fee clause is printed above the signature line and repeated in the contract’s Terms and Conditions.¹⁹

• Two independent first-hand reports of a $95 cancellation fee on PNW branch listings: a customer of the Spokane branch (Angi Pasco listing, April 2013) says he was told by phone that the only way to cancel ‘per the signed agreement’ was to pay $95; a Moses Lake-listing customer (June 2017) says that, after being told at sign-up they could cancel any time, they were told of the $95 fee when they asked to cancel (the reviewer adds that the fee is in the contract). Both reports predate the 2023 PestCo acquisition.^{14, 19}

• Washington Secretary of State (CCFS) business search is behind a Cloudflare Turnstile challenge; not checked. UBI 602705668 (Pointe Pest Control ID LLC) is now confirmed by Washington L&I (licensing[12], round 2); UBI 604263157 (Pointe Pest Control-OR LLC) still comes only from WSDA (applicant-supplied).
• Oregon ODA: both company Commercial Pesticide Operator licenses were confirmed in round 2 (licensing[10], licensing[11]; the earlier headless search failed because ODA needs a session started from its program page). ODA’s individual operator/applicator licenses for Pointe employees were not enumerated.
• Idaho ISDA: no company pesticide license could be verified. ISDA’s public ‘Certified Applicator License Search’ takes only License Number, Last Name and First Name (re-checked October 13, 2026) and shows no employer; ISDA’s license types on its forms are applicator (Professional, Private, Commercial Apprentice), Dealer and Chemigation licenses, and a web search found no published list of licensed businesses.
